Spring Break In Gulf Shores!

Hello again my classy cats!
After an AMAZING Spring Break in Gulf Shores, AL. It's time to get back to school. Spring Break is notorious with fraternities and sororities for getting pretty crazy. I found that if you go with people who have the same mind set as you (party all day and night VS calm escape) you will have a great time. My group got along pretty well, I think, with a great balance of hanging out at the beach and enjoying a few drinks. Like I said I had never been to Gulf Shores before, my family and I usually go to Ocean Isle, NC for vaca. I learned some great things that I thought could be useful to future spring breakers.
Where to Eat:
While there we (the 5 of us) when out to eat to a few local places:
Mud Bugs: The only reason we found this hole in the wall was so that we could enjoy some fresh seafood while watching the UK game. DON'T BE FULLED by the sign that reads "Seafood Bar and Grill" it is most definitely a bar. I can also put it this way, it was about 2 o'clock and the only ones in there we us and the managers. Our waiters was very very nice, though. It's not my cup of tea, but if you don't mind OK food that is a  bit over prices, go for it.
The Ouster House: By far the best place I have eaten! The only down side was the wait, but it is located amongst boutiques and other little shops so we all could walk around while we waited.
Gulf Island Grill: Also a very good place to eat. The main thing I liked was that that the fried shrimp was something you could only get on the Gulf. On the down side the price was a bit high.
Papa Rocco's: We also went here for the UK game. The atmosphere was bar like but also family friendly with great live music. The Pizza was also super good. I was able to split a large with my boyfriend and have a slice left over for breakfast the next day. I feel like the prices were also manageable.
Scoops: Don't forget dessert! Scoops was a cute little ice cream shop that served Eddie's ice cream. My favorite was the strawberry shortcake!
Also, while we where there we tried to go to LuLu's but the wait was WAY too long. If you are looking to save some money, we cooked dinner a few nights. This can also depend if you rent a house/condo with a full kitchen or a hotel room.

More on the fratty side of things, I thought I was great to see and meet other people from other schools. There were a group of guys who saw my boyfriend and his friends build a table, out of sand, for beer pong and came over to talk. They turned out to be really nice and invited up to play a game of beach volleyball. In short talk to people in passing, a great way to start is with a complement! If you like a girls bikini or sundress let her so. She may let you in on some cool stores in her college town. If you see some guys building a cool sandcastle or playing a game comment and see if you can join in. There is always a flip side to things like this so be warned. The group of guys we had met at the beginning of the week were randomly calling out to girls as they walked by while we were on the beach.

My biggest thing is just be safe and have fun!

P.S.
I have recently been getting a lot of complements on my outfits, so i'll try to start posting what I wear to what. If you like something let me know in a comment. Also keep and eye out for my Spring Formal and Founders Day posts.

XOXO
Sarah
